JAKARTA, (BS) – Persatuan Wartawan Indonesia (PWI) Pusat menggelar silaturahmi dan Halal Bihalal, Kamis (2/6/2022) di Sekretariat PWI Pusat, Kebon Sirih, Jakarta.
Suasana hangat mewarnai acara yang dihadiri segenap pengurus PWI Pusat. Acara diawali pembacaan Surat Keputusan pengangkatan Fachri Muhammad, Kemal Effendi Gani dan N.Syamsoeddin Ch.Haesy, masing-masing sebagai ketua, wakil ketua dan anggota Dewan Penasihat.
Pembacaan SK tiga anggota baru Dewan Penasihat ini dilakukan oleh Sekjen PWI Pusat, Mirza Zulhadi.

Fachri Muhammad menjadi ketua Dewan Penasihat PWI Pusat 2018-2023, menggantikan almarhum H.Margiono, ketua umum PWI Pusat dua periode, yang wafat 2 Februari 2022. Tiga anggota Dewan Penasehat lainnya adalah Banjar Chaerudin, sekretaris, serta Ishadi SK dan Ismet Rauf.
Dalam sambutannya, Fachri Muhammad mengatakan dirinya yang merupakan pelaku periklanan di media massa sehingga sejak lama sudah mengenal insan pers di tanah air.
“Saat saya ketua P3I, banyak pers minta iklan, tetapi tidak tahu caranya. Saya keliling Indonesia karena saya bergaul dengan pers meski saya di periklanan untuk membantu pers,” ungkap Fachri Muhammad.
Diakui Fachri, jika ada anggotanya yang berhutang dengan media soal iklan lebih dari tiga bulan maka dirinya akan memberhentikan anggotanya itu.
“Jadi siapa anggota saya yang berhutang dengan media lebih dari tiga bulan di koran maka saya akan memberhentikan anggota saya itu, itu aturan,” tuturnya.
Fachri Muhammad mengaku sangat bahagia mendapat kepercayaan dari Ketua Umum PWI Pusat, Atal S Depari, sebagai Ketua Dewan Penasihat PWI Pusat.
Ketua Dewan Kehormatan PWI Pusat Ilham Bintang saat memberi sambutan mengakui bahwa saat foto dirinya bersama Atal S Depari muncul bikin heboh.
“Saya katakan pak Atal itu teman saya sejak lama, hubungan saya tidak pernah pisah, sama sama wartawan dan sahabat,” jelas Ilham Bintang.
Dikatakannya, berbicara organisasi kewartawanannya, dirinya selalu memberi koreksi agar organisasi berjalan baik.
“Mau ngapain lagi saat ini, kalau tidak memberikan kontribusi kepada organisasi. Tidak ada pilihan kita selain memperbaiki organisasi sesuai dengan cita-cita pendahulu kita,” kata Ilham Bintang.
Selain itu, Ilham Bintang menandaskan bahwa dirinya meminta kepada Ketua Umum PWI Pusat agar tidak ada lagi laporan ke polisi baik ketua umum dilaporkan.
“Maupun ketua umum melaporkan wartawan karena tidak ada dalam sejarah PWI, jika ada masalah harus diselesaikan di dalam organisasi karena pendiri pers terdahulu adalah orang-orang yang menciptakan soliditas supaya tidak mudah diadu domba,” papar Ilham Bintang.
Sedangkan Atal S Depari sebelum menutup acara dalam sambutannya mengatakan dalam menghadapi situasi pandemi Covid-19, membuat dirinya merasa kesepian karena semuanya dilakukan seorang diri.
“Saya pernah rapat, saya sendiri karena saya harus tertib waktu,” tuturnya.
Dikatakan Atal, apa yang kita kerjakan saat ini, adalah membangun kesehatan diri kita.
“Saya angkat barbel lima puluh kali, saya memotivasi diri saya untuk tetap sehat. Tak heran jika teman di Malaysia mengatakan saya masih berusia 50 tahun,” selorohnya.
“Ini momen kita saling memaafkan,” terang Ketum PWI Pusat.
“Masih banyak agenda kita,” tegas Atal.
