PRINGSEWU, (BS) – Banyaknya laporan atau pengaduan masyarakat terkait kasus pencurian kendaraan bermotor (curanmor) di wilayah hukum Polres Pringsewu membuat Kapolres Pringsewu, AKBP Rio Cahyowidi cukup prihatin. Untuk itu ia menghimbau masyarakat agar mewaspadai aksi pencurian curanmor yang sedang marak terjadi tersebut.

“Saya himbau, masyarakat tetap berhati-hati dan waspada dengan lingkungan di sekitarnya. Jangan sampai menjadi korban curanmor,”himbaunya, Selasa (12/7/2022).

Ia menyampaikan, bahwa masyarakat harus selalu waspada terhadap Curanmor, karena pelaku hanya butuh sekian detik untuk melancarkan aksinya.

“Warga harus waspada dengan mengantisipasi dini yaitu menambahkan pengamanan seperti mengunci ganda kendaraan saat di parkir di rumah maupun di tempat umum,” tuturnya.

Menurutnya untuk antisipasi pelaku kriminal dalam melakukan aksinya, warga dapat menambahkan kunci gembok atau rantai serta GPS.

“Hal itu dilakukan agar dapat mencegah terjadinya aksi pencurian,”jelasnya.

Kapolres menambahkan, pihaknya terus berupaya melakukan langkah-langkah pencegahan kasus curanmor melalui kegiatan patroli dan imbauan kamtibmas kepada masyarakat melalui peran bhabinkamtibmas dan sat Samapta.

Juga terus melakukan upaya pengungkapan kasus yang dilakukan oleh personil Reskrim.

“Dengan peran serta seluruh pihak, harapan kita kasus curanmor ini bisa dicegah dan dapat segera terungkap pelakunya,” tandasnya.
