Plt.Bupati Bogor : Masyarakat Jangan Takut Makan Daging Qurban

CIBINONG, (BS) – Plt. Bupati Bogor, Iwan Setiawan menyerahkan hewan qurban berupa sapi secara simbolis kepada Dewan Kemakmuran Masjid (DKM) Baitul Faizin usai pelaksanaan Shalat Idul Adha berjamaah, Ahad (10/7). Pada kesempatan tersebut, Iwan menghimbau masyarakat tidak usah takut untuk mengkonsumsi daging kurban karena Penyakit Mulut dan Kaki (PMK) tidak menular kepada manusia.
Secara simbolis sapi berjenis limosin dengan bobot kurang lebih 1 ton diserahkan kepada Ketua DKM Baitul Faizin, KH. Lesmana. Pemotongan akan didampingi petugas untuk memastikan hewan-hewan qurban ini tidak terkontaminasi Penyakit Mulut dan Kuku (PMK).
“Pada Perayaan Idul Adha kali ini tengah merebak PMK yang menjangkiti hewan ternak. Ada petugas dari IPB University, yang hari ini tidak hanya bertugas di sini, tapi juga ada di tengah-tengah masyarakat yang sedang melaksanakan pemotongan hewan qurban,” kata Iwan.
Iwan menghimbau masyarakat agar tidak usah takut untuk mengkonsumsi daging sapi karena penyakit PMK tidak menular kepada manusia. Kemudian tidak perlu khawatir untuk berqurban, tentunya dengan kehati-hatian memilih hewan yang sehat,” ungkap Iwan.
Untuk diketahui, Pemkab Bogor telah membentuk Satgas bersama dengan Sekolah Kedokteran Hewan dan Biomedis IPB University, melakukan penanganan masif dengan memeriksa dan mengawasi kondisi hewan di seluruh peternakan yang ada di Kabupaten Bogor untuk menjaga keamanan daging hewan qurban yang akan didistribusikan kepada masyarakat.
“Saya juga menghimbau kepada masyarakat yang melaksanakan kegiatan penyembelihan hewan qurban, agar tidak menggunakan kantong plastik saat pendistribusian daging qurban. Demi mengurangi sampah plastik, dan mendukung Program Bogor Asri Tanpa Plastik.
