Ketua PWI Jabar Desak Polisi Usut Tuntas Penganiayaan Dua Wartawan di Karawang

BANDUNG, (BS) – Persatuan Wartawan Indonesia (PWI) Provinsi Jawa Barat mengutuk keras tindak kekerasan terhadap dua orang wartawan di Kabupaten Karawang.

Karena itu PWI Jabar mendesak kepolisian mengusut tuntas peristiwa itu dan menangkap para terduga pelaku penganiayaan.

Ketua PWI Jabar Hilman Hidayat, Selasa (20/92022) menyatakan keprihatinan yang mendalam atas peristiwa tersebut. Disebutkan Hilman, di era keterbukaan informasi seperti saat ini tindakan kekerasan adalah sebagai tindakan biadab.

Maka Hilman, berharap jika terjadi ketidaksetujuan atas pemberitaan di media sebaiknya diselesaikan melalui saluran yang sudah ditetapkan dalam Undang undang nomor 40/1999 dan peraturan turunannya.

” Saluran untuk menyatakan ketidaksetujuan itu sudah diatur oleh peraturan Dewan Pers. Pasti Dewan Pers akan memfasilitasi dan memediasi sehingga peristiwa delik pers bisa diselesaikan secar baik dan beradab,” kata Hilman.

Seperti diketahui Dua orang wartawan di Kabupaten Karawang yakni Gusti Sevtian Gumilar dan Zaenal Mustofa diduga menjadi korban penyekapan dan penganiayaan oleh sejumlah orang. Kedua korban sudah membuat laporan polisi di Polres Karawang.

Didampingi kuasa hukum dan puluhan wartawan Gusti dan Zaenal melapor ke Polres Karawang. Adapun nomor laporan polisi tersebut tercatat dengan nomor laporan STTLP/174/IX/2022/SPKT.RESKRIM/POLRES KARAWANG/POLDA JAWA BARAT, Senin malam 19 September 2022.

Kronologis Peristiwa

Usai launching Persika 1951 Gusti yang saat masih berada di stadion Singaperbangsa Karawang, dibawa oleh yang mengaku orang suruhan seorang Pejabat Karawang berinisial A.

Gusti dibawa ke bekas kantor PSSI Karawang. Sesampainya di kantor tersebut ruangan langsung ditutup tidak boleh ada yang masuk selain orang orang dari yang mengaku suruhan pejabat berinisial A dan korban.

Dilaporkan korban alat kerja wartawan seperti gadget, hand phone korban dirampas. Selang waktu beberapa saat setelah korban di bawa ke ruangan tersebut mulai mendapat penganiayaan berupa pukulan dari sejumlah orang yang berada di ruangan tersebut.

Bahkan menurut laporan korban oknum pejabat A hadir di ruangan itu dan mencekoki korban dengan air kencing sebanyak tiga kali.

Kecuali itu, korban pun mendapat hantaman kepala. tinju di beberapa bagian tubuhnya.

Korban Gusti pun mendapat ancaman jika soal ini berlanjut dan korban melapor, keluarga akan dihabisi. Korban dapat ke luar dari ruangan itu setelah dijemput oleh salah seorang keluarganya yang mengetahui korban ada di ruang itu. Koban mengalami penyekapan satu malam, yakni Sabtu malam hingga Minggu dini hari.

Korban di aniaya dari malam hingga pagi hari hingga tak dasarkan diri dan bisa pulan karena di jemput oleh saudaranya. Kemudian korban diselamatkan dan bawa ke salah satu kantor Dinas dan baru pulang pukul 18.00 WIB Minggu sore 18 September 2022.

Berbeda dengan korban lainya yaitu Zaenal. Dia dijemput dari rumahnya pukul 04.00 WIB Minggu. Setelah berada di dalam mobil penjemput Zaenal terus-terusan disiksa.

Karena siksaan itu Zaenal Mustofa mengalami luka robek di bagian kepala.

Berdasar kronologi dugaan penyekapan dan penganiayaan yang seperti dilaporkan ke pihak kepolisian di Karawang tersebut, PWI Jabar menyatakan menolak segala bentuk kekerasan terhadap wartawan.
